MARGARET RIVER DIARY

13.3.15

In a last minute decision to escape from reality, one of my best friends Michelle and I decided to travel down south for a short stay in Margaret River while stopping by Busselton, Cape Naturaliste and Dunsborough on the way there and back. It was such an amazing experience and I'm so blessed to have had her as my travel buddy. We fell in love with two beautiful wineries, the first was Aravina Estate with the absolutely breathtaking hydrangeas and scrumptious desserts and the second was Voyager Estate with the amazingly well groomed gardens, and spectacular high tea (Both highly recommended).

We had the most amazing breakfast at Sidekick Cafe in town. Both of us ordered the Avocado on Toast with Heirloom Tomatoes and Feta and a special Iced Tea that they brew- it was so good and naturally we went back and ordered the same thing again the next morning (No kidding!).

On our last day, we woke up extra early, had breakfast then drove up north to see the Canal Rocks which was mindbogglingly beautiful (definitely worth the visit). After, we had a quick swim/sunbathe at Smith's Beach then headed up to Ngilgi Caves. The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse was next our next stop but we were so ready for lunch so we dined at a health cafe/yoga studio called Samudra Cafe in Dunsborough which was delicious- we shared The Big Beet Pizza, Sweet Potato Chips and a Cold Pressed Juice each. After the cute little lighthouse we stopped by the Sugarloaf rock then headed back home. It was such a great girls trip and I loved traveling with someone who appreciates photography as much as I do, love you M!

love,
e
